#66 Member of Phylum Chordata
A shark is a member of Phylum Chordata. The four characteristics of chordate animals are the following.
1.Notochord- firm rod of tissue located on the dorsal part of the body.
2.Dorsal nerve chord- hollow tube above notochord
3.Pharyngeal pouches- small out pockets of the anterior digestive track
4.Post anal tail- muscle tissue that lies behind posterior opening of digestive track.
