#55 Water

Water has high surface tension as well as specific heat. Surface tension is the amount of force needed to break the surface of a liquid. Water has great surface tension because water the hydrogen bonds among a water molecule cannot stretch or break. Surface tension allows our bodies to transport nutrients. Specific heat is the amount of heat that is lost or absorbed due to a change in temperature. This is important because specific heat allows water to maintain a temperature. This allows humans to sweat so that they don't have a heat stroke.
